Nairn's Gluten Free Chunky Biscuits: Review

Anyone who knows me well, will know that I have a rather sweet tooth and that extends as far as having chocolate for breakfast (.. on most mornings)! And if I've not had any form of chocolate for breakfast it usually follows fairly quickly for an 11am snack - No judgement please but that's just how I roll. Which brings me onto these new finds by Nairn's.

Verawnika's Online Vegan & Raw Cakes: Review

When Veronika from Verawnika's got in touch about reviewing one of their cakes, I just couldn't say no! Having seen their cakes on Instagram (@verawnikas) and seeing their stand at this year's Free From Festival I was too intrigued to see if the taste was just as amazing as they looked. 

All of Verawnika's cakes are made from (as the name suggests) raw ingredients. The cakes are all 100% Vegan and are made from uncooked and organic unprocessed ingredients. All their cakes are made to order from scratch. They are gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, egg free, additive free and there's the option to go nut-free too if you wish. BUT, don't let all the 'free-from' qualities make you feel like you might be missing out on flavour because that is certainly not the case here!

Healthy & Simple Udon Noodle Stir-Fry

Stir fry is such an easy go-to option for me! Usually piled high with veggies and sometimes some chicken pieces. This one has got to be one of my favourites so far, so I had to share it (obvs!). 
I think it was possibly the noodles that made this dish for me, I used Clearspring's Udon Noodles - which take just a few minutes to cook and had the most delicious taste. Hard to describe what it is exactly about these noodles that make them special but trust me on this one - Give them a go next time you make a stir-fry ;)

OG Juice Review

I recently tried a new range of juice cleanse drinks from OG Juice which were a pleasant surprise! Now, I know that probably sounds bad but after having tried many juices over the years you start to appreciate the ones that are of high quality, don't have bits in them and don't have any weird ingredients in them (usually that are impossible to pronounce.) In my opinion the more simple the juice, the better! So, let me tell you a bit more about OG Juice and some of the juices I tested out...

The flavour from these small (but seriously mighty) spice sauce pots works so nicely with the earthy veg and runny eggs.

Pistachio & Dark Chocolate Muffins

I love the combination of dark chocolate with pistachio! In fact, any nuts with chocolate! Actually, just chocolate in general, with anything...This recipe with Nut Kitchen is super easy but the addition of their Pistachio paste makes it just that extra bit more indulgent.

Crispy Fried Ham & Eggs

I'm always looking at different options for breakfast, especially anything involving eggs. This is nothing fancy and requires very little but it's super tasty, it's quick and it's easy.

Crustless Spring Quiche with Good Hemp

If you've been following me for a while, you'll probably know I love making different quiche recipes and am always experimenting with different flavours and mixes. This is no exception as it is made with Good Hemp Milk and a whole load of Spring greens. I've also made this one a crustless quiche - It's jam packed with protein, greens and some flavoursome additions from the prosciutto and goat's cheese, it just didn't need the pastry if you ask me.. Plus it makes it lighter for a Spring dish.

Rhubarb, Orange & Almond Cake with Oppo Ice-Cream

With Mother's Day and (supposedly) Spring right around the corner, I've created this deliciously sweet and tart cake for the perfect indulgent treat. I've got to say I love the flavour combinations to this cake. The orange and rhubarb work together so nicely and are great for Spring especially as the rhubarb is in season so tastes its best! Perfect for any occasion.

Green Shakshuka

January can be a bit of a tricky month as I'm sure we've all experienced at one point or another. What with all the fad diets and the resolutions to eat healthy or even trying Veganuary for the first time. Typically, it's a month where I know I personally reach for some of the more comforting foods. You know, the stuff you really crave - Chocolate is always a culprit for me (no surprises there) but I'm also a sucker for pizza! Who isn't?
