Redemption Bar - Review

As I have mentioned before on a previous post; I'm not usually one to write about restaurants but I'm always happy to give credit where credit is due (genuinely). Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of meeting up with some of the lovely girls I have made friends with through the blogging world. We decided to do what we do best and have a good old natter over our favourite thing... food, of course! As there were rather a lot of us, I wondered if we were going to struggle to settle on a brunch hot spot that would suit all of our dietry needs (gluten free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian... you name it!) but we all managed to agree pretty quickly on heading to Redemption Bar in Old Street, London.

I must hold my hands up and say I was very pleasantly surprised... As you may already know or will soon come to realise: I am not vegan - I love my typical eggs & avo brunch, so I was slightly sceptical to say the least. But, there was plenty to choose from on the menu - and I don't mean just pick anything and eat the bits you want (or know how to pronounce) but I could have very easily chosen a few different dishes and was a little spoilt for choice. Lots of the girls went for the Buddah Bowl which I managed to steal a spoonful to try, it was vibrant, full of colour, full of texture and seriously flavoursome. I decided to go for the Sweetcorn Fritters and they didn't disappoint! Again, they were packed full of flavour, were ever-so slightly crispy round the edges and to top it off, there was a dollop of creamy smashed avo on the side - seriously tasty!

There are 2 Redemption Bar's in London, the first being in Old Street and the other in Notting Hill. I would recommend making a booking before you go as it can get pretty busy. To see their full menu and contact details, check out their website here.
