Christmas Canapes: Sponsored by Genius Gluten Free

It can be tricky to find gluten free canapes that aren't completely dry or boring so I'm making my own! I love catering for events and playing the 'hostess with the mostest' and it's a lot easier than to create your own canapes than people may think - You can also rack up quite a bill by buying ready made Christmas canapes from supermarkets (they tend to up those prices around this time of year so be careful...)

Living Gluten Free: Sponsored by Genius Gluten Free

I'm forever meeting people who ask 'Do you find being gluten free really difficult?' and I always respond with the same answer: 'No, because I don't see it as being gluten free necessarily, I just eat as naturally as possible'.

Chocolate Popcorn Fridge Cake

For anyone who knows me well, will know I love popcorn but I think I might love chocolate just that little bit more - So when Propercorn sent me their latest flavour Perfectly Sweet I just had to make something chocolatey with it. Love the orange flavour from the Doisy & Dam chocolate and I also added in some more goji berries for that extra chewy texture too. Love how easy it is to make these chocolatey popcorn squares and they're so moreish!

Courgette, Ricotta & Basil Quiche

I recently had the pleasure of catering for Karuna Clayton Photography's workshop at Rye London Studio. Quiche is one of my fave go-to recipes when hosting a lunch - It's so easy to make, it's filling and it's perfect for any occasion; no matter what the season. I love experimenting with different flavours for quiche fillings and decided to go for something vegetarian this time. You can find the recipe for my spinach, chorizo, sun-dried tomato & feta quiche here.

Double Chocolate Biscotti with Pistachios

It's Italian week on The Great British Bake Off this week so what better recipe to share than biscotti!
Considering I'm the biggest chocolate fan I had to make my own chocolatey version of this Italian classic. Which is also why I've teamed up with the brilliant Doisy & Dam (again! - you can check out my recipe from last year's GBBO D&D bake-off here) to bring you this special recipe.

Miso Black Rice Bowl

Now that the weather is getting slightly colder, I'm starting to reach for more comforting dishes like this one. I'm not willing to commit to full soup recipes just yet (I don't want to admit defeat on Winter. Ha!) so I'm sharing this miso soup bowl recipe that was inspired by a dish I had at Mildreds Restaurant.

Breakfast by Bella - Recipe & Review

I love making my own granola (as you can see from the many different posts on my blog) but when life gets on top of me and I don't have time to make a batch of homemade granola, it is so nice to be able to rely on Breakfast by Bella to have my breakfasts covered with their 3 different granola's: Cacao Crazy, Nutty Nosh & Peanut Butter Me Up.

Rainier Cherry Bakewell Tart

I recently attended the most beautiful event in Kensington all in aid to raise awareness for the amazing Rainier Cherry. For those who aren't yet familiar with Rainier Cherries; they are a cross between 2 red cherries which creates this beautifully sweet golden yellow cherry. They are rich in potassium, have anti-inflammatory properties and are high in Vitamin C too.

Vanilla, Cashew Coconut Bliss Balls

I am 100% guilty of having a sweet tooth and sometimes find it difficult not to reach for the slightly less healthy options (... chocolate I am talking to you!) but usually instantly regret it and feel the consequences usually a couple of hours later or in the next couple of days when my skin flares up in horrendous break-outs. So, to help my dear little sweet tooth and cravings I have made these delicious vanilla, cashew and coconut bliss balls. Simple to make, the ingredients don't break the bank and you can make a batch for the week ahead for all those moment when you need something sweet to nibble.

As you may or may not have seen; I recently took over Well&Truly's Instagram story for the day and I had a brilliant time sharing with you 'a typical Sunday' for me. I'm not one to usually share much about my lifestyle or what I do on a day-to-day basis but it was actually pretty insightful and I really enjoyed sharing a little part of my life with you all - albeit just for one day.

Chocolate Chia Pot

I just love how versatile the humble little chia seed is! Although they have been around for a little while now and I have used them in recipes before (both sweet and savoury), I must admit, I never really use them all that much in everyday meals. But, with the amazing health benefits including; a source of Omega 3, fibre, high in vitamins and antioxidants I've re-visited the mighty chia seed and decided to make a breakfast option (or sweet treat), that is super simple to make and totally delicious too.

Redemption Bar - Review

As I have mentioned before on a previous post; I'm not usually one to write about restaurants but I'm always happy to give credit where credit is due (genuinely). Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of meeting up with some of the lovely girls I have made friends with through the blogging world. We decided to do what we do best and have a good old natter over our favourite thing... food, of course! As there were rather a lot of us, I wondered if we were going to struggle to settle on a brunch hot spot that would suit all of our dietry needs (gluten free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian... you name it!) but we all managed to agree pretty quickly on heading to Redemption Bar in Old Street, London.

Cru8 Foods - Review

I've been a fan of Cru8 Foods since I first tried their macaroons (see below) at the Duke Of York Saturday market in Chelsea a few years ago now. I instantly fell in love with their Cacao flavoured macaroons and bought about 3 packets there and then... no shame, no judgement! I still love these macaroons to this date and am pleased to see some other flavours too, I particularly like their Pistachio macaroons.

So, you can imagine my excitement when Cru8 Foods got in touch with me and said they would like to me to try out some of their other products. I was particularly intrigued to try some of their savoury products as I had only ever know them for their sweet treats. All of their products are Gluten, Dairy, Wheat & Refined Sugar Free, they are also Raw, Low GI, Nutrient-Dense & Slow Releasing foods...

10 Reasons to attend this years Free From Festival:

5. There is live music during the event which makes for an amazing atmosphere for the event.
6. It's a great place to network and a chance to meet other like-minded people.
7. Another networking point, but it's also a great opportunity to talk to some of the brands there.
8. Most of the brands at the festival have deals on their products. So stock up on all those goodies and treats you love, because, well it would be rude not to...
9. Everything is Free From - Gluten, Dairy and/or refined sugar. Some brands are completely Vegan too - So, there is something for everyone.

Bounce Balls - V Life Review

Exciting news! Bounce balls have branched out and created an entirely new range of Vegan friendly Bounce balls, the range itself is called 'Bounce V Life' which contains 5 new flavours all made from natural ingredients and a blend of vegan proteins. I went through a real phase of stocking up on Bounce Balls, my particular favourites being the Coconut Macadamia & Peanut because they are honestly just great to keep you going throughout the day thanks to the protein hit and are also a good sweet fix too. So, when the Bounce V Life products came out I was intrigued to try their range of interesting new flavours - And here's my verdict (below)*: I have also created a couple of recipe ideas inspired by their new range and ingredients:
